Bolduc 5-ply Pinblock (Single panel)

The Bolduc 5-ply pinblock is made with the highest quality, quarter-sawn, tight-grain rock maple and is recommended and used in the finest instruments. Constant friction and dynamic tension on the tuning pin ensure tunability for many years to come. We recommend the use of the 0.257” (6.53mm) drill bit for a 2/0 (7.15mm) tuning pin. Unlike other pinblocks, the BolducBlock allows a difference of .025” between the hole and the pin: the margin for error is greater. Consequently, the perfection in drilling is not as critical and your success is virtually guaranteed. Because the BolducBlock is made of solid maple, shaping is easier and the glue joint between the rim and the pinblock is better and stronger.
